Sponsorship Guidelines and Application
Art Van Furniture strongly believes in giving back to local and statewide organizations, particularly groups and programs that focus on children, health and human services.
To be eligible for a grant contribution, your organization must meet
the following requirements:
- Be recognized as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3)
of the Internal Revenue Code and not a private foundation
- Have a current financial audit conducted by an independent
certified public accountant
- In policy and practice do not discriminate based on age, race, color,
sex, religion, disability, national origin, height, weight or marital status
- Applications must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the event or program date to be considered eligible
Organizations not eligible for a Sponsorship include:
Annual Fund Campaigns, Individuals, Private foundations or endowment funds, Religious organizations (i.e., churches), Political activities, parties, or candidates, Veteran organizations, Fraternal or labor organizations, Courtesy advertising program books, and yearbooks, PTA and Booster events, Entertainment events, Scholarships or conferences, Golf tournaments, sporting events, or teams, Travel or tours, Municipalities, Public or private schools and universities, and Medical research.
Art Van Furniture considers sponsorships from a wide range of organizations and encourages creativity and innovation to develop partnerships that are of mutual benefit to community organizations and Art Van Furniture. We seek sponsorships that bring value to our customers and employees. As a sponsor of an event, Art Van expects to get the following results:
- Enhance Art Van Furniture's visibility in the community
- Help position Art Van Furniture as a leader in the corporate community
- Introduce associates to potential new customers
- Raise money for the benefit of nonprofits in the neighborhoods we serve
- Opportunities for cross promotion through in-store events and community activities
If an Art Van Furniture employee is involved with the event, it should be noted on the proposal.
Sponsorship proposals are required to be submitted through our website, www.artvan.com, and will be reviewed monthly. Online is the only way we will accept a proposal application. Should you find it easier to fill out your information before going online, a printable copy of the complete application form is also available - click to print a worksheet. Please note: If you use the worksheet, you will still need to re-enter the data and submit it online. This online application cannot be saved and must be completed in its entirety in order to be considered for sponsorship.
Each applicant will be notified of the committee's decision of sponsorship approval or denial via email or U.S. Postal Service, no later than 30 days from submission. Our goal is to have all eligible sponsorship applications reviewed by the end of each month, with a decision provided in writing.

By applying for sponsorship, you agree: (1) no promises of any nature regarding eligibility or selection for sponsorship funding have been made, and that the sponsorship selection decisions shall be made solely by the Committee; and (2) if you or your organization is approved for sponsorship, this information may be publicly disclosed as deemed appropriate by the Committee.
